2013 One Dollar Notes (Sheet of 5)
    • Available for the first time direct from the U.S. Treasury Bureau of Engraving and Printing, these uncut currency sheets are printed on newer presses that use larger currency paper. The notes are available for the first time in a full sheet of 50 and in the smaller subject sizes of 5; 10; 20; or 25.
    • These notes are printed for Fort Worth for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and the signatures of Secretary of the Treasury Jacob Joseph "Jack" Lew and former Treasurer of the United States Rosa "Rosie" Gumataotao Rios.
    • These sheets replace the older, no longer available Series 2009 $1 notes. Those featured the signatures of Rios and former U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Franz "Tim" Geithner, and came in smaller subject sizes of 4; 8; 16; and 32.
    • Q: How do you distinguish a 32-subject produced $1 note from a 50-subject produced $1 note?
    • A: The difference is the Note-Position Identifier. Fifty-subject and 32-subject notes are distinguishable by one minor technical change. On a 50-subject produced note, the letter and number of the alpha numeric note-position identifier, is the same font size and smaller than the alpha letter of the 32-subject note. In comparison, on the 32-subject note, the number is a smaller font size compared to the letter.
