The American Silver Eagle is a very popular coin to collect going back to its original issue in 1986. Collectors love its beautiful design and investment value. We carry many types of Silver Eagles at the Village Coin Shop including proof, reversed proof, and burnished versions. The Burnished Silver Eagle is uncirculated and first appeared in 2006 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Silver Eagle. It is now considered to be fairly rare due because the burnished version has low mintage numbers.
