Ida B. Wells - an investigative journalist, suffragist and civil rights activist.
Juliette Gordon Low - imagining a movement where all girls could come together embracing their unique strengths and passions, she founded the Girl Scouts of America in 1912 to do just that.
Vera Rubin - an Astronomer and a strong advocate for women working in science. Vera's work provided convincing evidence for the existence of unseen "dark" matter in the Universe. Her observations influenced the whole science community—permanently.
Stacey Park Milbern - Stacey was a Korean-American disability justice activist.  She suffered from congenital muscular dystrophy and spent her short life fighting for the fair treatment of disabled people.  She died at 33.
Althea Gibson - the first African American to win a Grand Slam Tennis Tournament and the first African American to play in the Ladies Professional Golf Association.
